Back to topNote - This module is an add-on of Webkul's Marketplace Module. To use this module, you must have purchased and installed Multi Vendor Marketplace first. If you’re using the Custom Attribute Marketplace Add-On with Attribute Set Mapping Marketplace Add-On, the priority of Attribute Set MappingMarketplace Add-On will always be high.
Attribute Set Mapping Marketplace Add-On allows the admin to map the attribute sets with their store categories and later it can be used by the marketplace sellers for their products. Sometimes it is experienced that some categories have their specific product attributes. So it is difficult to create the individual product attribute for every product. The admin can create the attribute sets and then map the categories with the created attribute sets. Now, whenever, a product is assigned to a category the attribute is automatically assigned to the product as per the selected and mapped category. Moreover, the seller will also be able to use these attributes for their products if the permission is granted by the admin.

Business Value
When you have a large marketplace, it becomes a little bit tricky to create the product attributes for each product individually. A store owner can have a large number of product categories that may point to the same product attribute. To solve this manual process, the store owner can create the product attributes and then map those created attributes with the store categories. In this way now whenever creating a product and selecting the product category it will automatically assign the category attribute to the product.
Furthermore, the store owner can create and map the multiple categories to a single attribute set. The admin can enable the attributes that are mapped with the store categories for the sellers as well. Now when a seller will create a seller product and select the category of the product, it will automatically assign the attribute to the product as per the selected category.
How Does The Extension Work?
After the successful installation of the add-on, the admin can configure it accordingly. The admin has a lot of options to configure the functionality of the add-on.
Configure Add-On Functionality
The admin can configure the add-on functionality easily. The admin can decide whether to display the parent category of the selected category or not. Moreover, the admin can also select the default attribute set for the categories that are not mapped with any attribute set.
Mapping Category & Attribute Set
The admin can map the store categories & attribute set by navigating to the Category and Attribute Set Mapping under the MpAttribute Mapping menu. The admin can manage the attribute set mapping here. To map the categories with the attribute set, the admin can click on the Add Mapping. Now, select the Attribute Set & the Category for mapping. Under the Map Attribute option, the admin can select the attributes that can be used by the sellers for their products.
Assign Attribute Set ID To Seller
The admin can assign the Attribute Set ID to the Sellers. The admin can navigate to Store>Configuration>Marketplace>Seller Product’s Settings and select the Attribute Set ID. The selected attribute set will be available for the sellers now. It will display an error to the seller when creating a product and selecting the category for the product if the selected attribute set id is not allowed to the sellers.
Seller Product With Assigned Attributes
The seller can create the products and assign the products to the available categories. If the category is mapped with the attribute set and allowed to the sellers, it will automatically add the attribute to the products as per the selected category.
Seller Product Page Attribute Display
Product attributes will be displayed to the customers on the product page. Product attributes allow the customers to find out more information about a product.

For Store Admin

- Product attributes will be displayed to the customers on the product page.
- It helps the customers to understand if the product is new, have a warranty, expiry date, etc based on the available product attribute.
