Back to topNote - This extension is a Marketplace Add-On, so you must purchase and install Webkul’s Multi Vendor Marketplace extension first. With the help of the Split Database Marketplace Add-On, you can split the master database (one database for Magento and another database for Webkul Marketplace tables) and can divide the load of different activities between these two databases. As the business grows the number of customer requests and site traffic also increases, hence the website's performance slows down due to the high volume of e-commerce data. Important Note - Before doing any operation on a database, take a complete backup of your Magento store database.

How Does The Extension Work?
After the extension installation, the admin needs to create a new database for marketplace tables. As assumed magento2db is your default Magento store database & magento2mpdb creates for marketplace tables. After creating the different databases, you need some terminal commands to split the marketplace database tables. Please read the user guide for the complete process. After that, the master database tables will be split after running the above command.
