This module allows the store owner to generate a web app manifest json from the backend of your Magento® store. The web app manifest is one of the technologies that allows you to convert your store into a progressive web app. The purpose is to install web applications to the device, providing users with faster access and an enhanced experience. The App will load more quickly, include offline support, push notifications and background syncing support. The result will be the look-and-feel of a native app.

After installation the module will add a new section in System > Configuration > Young-Dogs > Manifest , where the settings of the module are configured. Configurations include: name, short name, description, background and theme color, display mode, orientatation, track code, Google Play url, Google Play ID, Apple iTunes url and your own Favicon.

Customers that visit your website several times a week from their mobile environment will receive an automatic pop-up which will invite them to add the PWA to their homescreen. Once accepted the customer will find the icon of your store on their desktop. Customer can also add the PWA to their homescreen by clicking on the three dots in their browser (Android) and choose Add to home screen. In future, when the user clicks on the generated icon on his device, your store will open as Web Application with the behaviour set in the module configurations.
