Overview

Note- This module is an add-on of Webkul's Marketplace Module. To use this module, you must have purchased and installed Multi Vendor Marketplace first.

A sub-domain is a subsection of the website that can exist as a new website without having a new domain name. Sub-domains can be used to create memorable URLs for different content areas of your site. Similarly,  Vendor Subdomain Marketplace Add-On allows the vendors to have their own sub-domain. This add-on creates URLs for each vendor’s page under vendor’s sub-domain. Now the vendors can have their own sub-domain which can be accessed by customers directly for purchasing products.

The admin can enable or disable vendor sub-domain. The admin can allow the vendors to only display their products on their sub-domains. The admin can also make his/her products displayed along with the seller’s products, at the vendor’s sub-domain.

Use Case of Vendor Subdomain Marketplace Add-On -

The admin can manage vendor domains very easily. Also, can configure sub-domain for vendor and set the prefix of the sub-domain. This add-on allows the vendors to have the multiple sub-domains. The customer can access the vendor page via vendor domain for purchasing products. The admin can easily configure the module settings to display both admin and the vendor’s products.

Workflow of Vendor Subdomain Marketplace Add-On -

After the successful module installation, the admin will first set the “Seller Profile Page settings” like Rewrite seller’s shop URL and Automatic seller public URL creation on seller registration to “No”.

After this, the admin will configure the seller sub-domain settings like status and prefix which will be added to the URL. The admin also enables/disable “display admin products on category page”. If set “Yes” then it will display the admin products or if set to “No” then it will show vendor’s product. Also, the admin will set the “Customer Vendor Sub-domain Setting” to “Yes”, then the admin can provide domain name of each vendor(store view wise).

For adding the domain name to the seller, an additional tab is provided at the sellers add/edit pages which is “Vendor Domain(*)”. Here, the admin can provide the domain for each store views.

Once the admin is done with the above configuration, the vendors will have their own sub-domain which can be accessed by customers directly for purchasing products.
