Accounts & Pricing:

You need to create a developer account on Facebook, Google, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Also, there is no pricing involved, all the developer accounts can be created free of cost. API credentials for Facebook, Google, Twitter, and LinkedIn are needed in the module configuration.

Use Case:

Social login is an important functionality which is required for any type of online store. Because whenever a customer creates a new account, the customer needs to provide several types information such as - first name, last name, email, confirm email, password, confirm the password, address information, etc. But using social login, the customer can use the existing Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or Google account email and password for quickly logging into the store.

  • The customer can use any of the preferred social networks to log in to store.
  • The admin can enable or disable social login status.
  • The customer can also do the social login on mobile devices.
  • The admin can upload a custom icon for social login button.
  • The social login users are added to the customer list.
  • Works with multi-store and store views.

After creating the API credentials, the admin needs to enter them in the module configuration. The admin can also upload any custom file for each social login icon. On the account login page, the customer will find the social icons near login button. For logging into the store, the customer can click any of the social icons and a pop-up window will appear asking for the email and the password.

The main advantage of using the social sign up extension is to allow faster login process. New customers will not have to fill in the long registration form or wait for email confirmation. After logging in using the social accounts, the users are added to the customer list.
