Overview
Back to topQuote System extension allows merchants to manage quotation requests for products. For each product, the admin can enable the B2B quote feature and set the minimum quote quantity. The customers can view the products available for a quote, then submit a request mentioning - price per item, quantity needed, write a message, and upload file attachments. The admin can view and manage all the requests received from the customers and then approve, reject, or edit quotations for further price negotiation. Once a quotation is approved, the add to cart button is visible in the quote request for allowing the customer to do the checkout process. Additionally, the admin can also create a quote request on behalf of the customer and negotiate the quotation price and quantity.
Business Value
If you are selling products in bulk or selling specialized products and do not want to show prices then you can use the quote system. With this extension, the store owner can do price negotiation with every customer and target both the retail and wholesale segments.
Further, the store owner and customers can do conversation with each other and send messages with file attachments. Before placing an order, the buyer can initiate negotiations with the store owner on the per-unit price and quantity. The quote request can be reviewed and modified multiple times before it is approved and converted into an order. Moreover, the store owner can continue to sell the products at the original listed prices, so that retail customers can click add to cart button and continue to checkout.

How Does Quote System Work?
After the successful installation of this extension, the admin needs to enable the extension from the configuration and manage other settings for the quote system.
Allow Or Disallow Discount On Quote
The admin can allow the discount on quote product to be applied or not. When disabled, the customer won’t be able to apply a discount on the shopping cart.
Restrict File Attachment Types
The admin can mention the file types for attachment, only those file types customer can be uploaded from the frontend.
Hide Add To Cart Button
The admin can decide whether to show or hide the add to cart button on the storefront. This will be applicable only for products available on quote.
Hide Product Price
The admin can decide whether to show or hide the product prices on the storefront. This will be applicable only for products available on quote.
Minimum Quote Quantity
The admin can set a default minimum quote quantity for the case when there is no value set for minimum quantity at the product level. If the minimum quote quantity is set at the product level then only that value will work with the respective product.
Select Mail Templates
The admin can select the mail email notification templates for various events - when a new quote is generated, change in quote status, quote message, and quote is edited.
Enable Product Quote Status
The store owner will have to edit a product, set the quote status as yes, and mention minimum quote quantity so that the customer can quote for that product quantity.
Buyer Request Quote
From the storefront, the customer can raise a quote for the available products. The quote can be requested from the product page or category page. The customer can create a quote request by clicking to the ‘Add to Quote’ button. After submitting the quotation request, the customer can find the details of the quoted requests in My Quotes list under the customer’s account dashboard.
Add Quote Request
From the backend, the store owner will go to the Manage Quotes section, here all the quotes request are visible under the Quotes grid. If the store owner is satisfied with the quote request he can approve it. After that, the customer will have the add to cart button available to buy the product.
The admin can also create a quote on behalf of the customer. The admin responds to the request by offering discounted pricing for the products in the quote and can edit the quote, quote status, and send a message to the customer.
Price & Quantity Negotiation
The customer can open the quote from the My Quotes page of the account dashboard. The customer and store owner can continue the negotiation process until an agreement is reached.
Approved Quote & Add To Cart
After approval of the quotation from the store owner, the “Add To Cart” button will be available to the buyer in the quote request. The customer then adds the product in cart and then proceed to checkout for placing the order.
