Note: This module is an add-on of Webkul's Marketplace Module. To use this module, you must have purchased and installed Multi Vendor Marketplace first.

PayPal is one of the most popular payment solutions around the world. This an American company providing a worldwide online payment solution. PayPal provides the payment solution for vendors, auction websites, and other online commercial users. To use the PayPal Adaptive method then you need to set up an application on PayPal. PayPal Adaptive Marketplace Add-on is a payment add-on for Marketplace that automatically splits the payment from the customers between the seller (secondary receivers) and the admin (primary receiver). This Marketplace add-on works accurately with the Paypal Adaptive chained and parallel payment methods. The sellers need to enter their PayPal ID to receive the payment to their PayPal account. Note - Chained Payment type will work when the PayPal support approves your app as per their Acceptable Use Policy.

 

Adaptive Payments is now a limited release product. It is restricted to select partners for approved use cases and should not be used for new integrations without guidance from PayPal. After the installation of the module, the admin can configure the module by entering the Paypal account details. Once the module is configured the sellers need to enter their PayPal username in their account section. Now, a customer can add different seller's products to their cart and process checkout. After selecting the PayPal payment method the customer will be redirected to the PayPal page. Now the customer can make the payment. If the admin has selected the Payment type as parallel then the payment will split between admin and buyer right away. If the payment type is selected as chained then admin need to release the seller's amount from the PayPal account section.


Use case of Paypal Adaptive Marketplace Add-On -

The admin and the seller can avail the features of this add-on. This module will help to the store owner to distribute the payment per order basis. After enabling of this module, there is no need to pay seller manually for their orders. After the successful order, the seller will get their payment and admin will get their commission separately.

Workflow of Paypal Adaptive Marketplace Add-On -

After installing the module, the admin will configure the module. The admin can configure the module for the Parallel Adaptive method or Chained method.

If the admin will select parallel adaptive payment then the payment will be sent to the multiple receivers that means it will split between the seller and the admin. The admin will get their commission and the seller will get their order amount.

If the admin will select the adaptive payment as chained then the whole payment will go to the primary receiver(admin). After that, the primary receiver will pay to the secondary receiver(seller). The admin can also select the chained payment type as "Instant" or "Delayed". After the completion of the payment, the admin can see the successful transaction details from sales=>order=>transaction tab.
