Out Of Stock Notification is an add-on which allows users to get notified when any out of stock product gets back in stock and available for purchase. Users just have to provide their email address and they will receive an email when the products become available. The admin can choose how the users will get notified. It can be sent automatically or admin can also notify users manually.
Out of stock notification is a useful add-on for both the admin and customers of the store. The admin can benefit from this add-on, as when the product is out of stock, many customers might be interested in buying that product. Many customers would not be interested in checking the availability of that product again. This way, the admin can lose the chance of converting this into a sale. So if a customer submits their email id for getting notification about the product availability, there are chances that he will make a purchase out of it.
Use Case of Out Of Stock Notification -
Let’s take a scenario.. a customer want to buy a product but that product is out of stock. So instead of checking that product again and again for availability, he or she can just provide their email address. When the product becomes available for purchase, they will receive an email notifying them about the availability of the product.

- Guest users can enter their email id for receiving notification.
- Registered users email id will be automatically filled, they just have to click on ‘Notify Me’.

Customer Management -
Using this add-on, a guest user also can notification about a product getting back in stock. They can simply enter their email id and click on ‘Notify Me’. Whenever that product gets back in stock, the guest user will receive a mail on the provided mail id.
Whenever registered users visit an out of stock product page, they will see that their email id is already been filled in the email id field. They can also change the email id if they want. After that, they can click on ‘Notify Me’ to receive notification when the product gets back in stock. After that customer will get a confirmation message. When the product gets back in stock, customer will receive a notification email.
Admin Management -
The admin can configure this module settings by going to Store > Configuration > Webkul > Notification Settings. From here, the admin can set the notification method as Auto or Manual. In Auto, the notification emails will be automatically sent to the users whenever the product gets back in stock. In Manual, admin has to manually notify the users. In Admin Email id field, admin has to set an email id from which all the notification emails will be sent to the users. In Admin Name, admin has to enter his name. Admin has to go to Out of Stock Notification > See All Requests to view all the notification requests made on the webstore. In All Requests, admin can view all the requests with the user email id, notification status and product name on which the request is made. From here admin can manually notify the user by selecting the user and then selecting action as Send Notification.
