Special Promotions

This extension facilitates the admin of a store to create various promotional rules such as ‘The Cheapest, also for Buy 1 get 1 free’, ‘Most Expensive’, ‘Get $Y for each $ X Spent’ etc, so as to offer discounts in a more effective way. 

The admin, through this extension, allows as many as 16 promotional rules which shall befit the admin of the store in terms of customer traffic and in generating real revenue for the store. 

These rules are applied in the form of percentage and fixed discounts to both, the expensive and the cheap products. Discounts play an essential role in luring customers to the store as customers prefer making a purchase when things are on sale. 

Use Case:

For instance, we must have encountered the End of Season sale in clothing showrooms and whenever a brand offer discounts there is a comparatively larger customer crowd than usual days. This is a very common scenario as each one us want to save that extra penny and therefore prefer buying things on sale. Likewise, integrating special promotions will lure more and more customers and instigate to make a purchase. Also, the customers may end up buying in bulk which shall be profitable for the site owner in terms of sales and revenue generation.

Features: 

• The admin of a store has the leverage to allow additional promotion rules.
• The promotions are applicable to both the cheapest or most expensive items.
• These promotions are in the form of fixed or percentage discounts.
• The discounts can be applied to the products in the form of coupons.
• The admin can create promotions for group items as well.
• Discounts are applicable to a product set.
• The admin also allows an Each N-th discount where discount shall be applicable after the N-th item.
• This module facilitates the Buy X Get Y in its extended form.

Workflow:

After successfully installing the extension, the admin will find the Special Promotions tab where the admin can configure under the Stores menu where, the admin needs to set the configurations for the check special option values under the general tab and items with special price, configurable items if child special price, items with tier price under skip settings. 

Before configuring the promotional rules, there are some standard fields which the admin needs to configure. Some of the standard field are rule name, description, active, customer groups, from and to, etc. 

On adding the standard configurations, the admin can configure the special promotions under the Actions section. 

The Cheapest, also for Buy 1 and Get 1 Free

Through this action, the discount is applicable to the cheapest products. For instance, on buying one product, a cheapest product is free, or buy 3 items and get the cheapest product for 10% discount. In the same way discounts are applicable to the most expensive products as well. 

Customers tend to find these kind of offers beneficial and end up buying products in bulk. 

Get $Y for each $X Spent

This action or promotion rule benefits the customers in a way that it offers deals such as $200 off on a purchase of $600. This way the customers will be lured to make more purchases befitting the site in terms of revenue and stock clearance. 

Each N-th-

• Fixed Discounts

Under this action, for each n-th product present in the cart, a fixed amount of the discount is applicable. For instance, get $10 off on each 2nd product present in the cart. 

• Percentage Discounts

Under this action, for each n-th product, a percentage discount is applicable. For instance, get 20% off on each 2nd product present in the cart.

Each Product After N

• Fixed Discounts

This promotion rule offers deals such as on a purchase of 10 products, two additional   products shall be available on $200 off.

• Percentage Discounts

This action offers deals such as, on a purchase of 5 items, 2 extra products will be offered for a discount of 20%. This way the customers will make more purchases and avail the discounts. 

Product Set

• Fixed Discounts 

Under the fixed amount promotion rule, the admin allows a discount based on a fixed amount which is applicable on a product set. For instance, $300 wil be off when a customer buys shampoo, conditioner, and serum. 

• Percentage Discounts 

Under this promotion, the admin allows a discount amount which is applicable on a product set. For instance, 20% will be off when a customer buys a Sony laptop, a sony phone, and earphones. 

Benefits: 

• Through special promotions, it is easy to lure customers to make a purchase in bulk.
• It is applicable for a limited time, therefore, more customers will visit the site so as to avail the discount offers. 
• The discounts can be availed in the form of coupons as well.
• The discounts may also create a sense that they must visit the store again.
• Offering discounts helps small businesses to make a mark in the e-commerce world.
