COD Marketplace Add-On enables sellers to offer cash on delivery as the payment method to their customers. This is one of the most convenient payment methods for customers these days. This method enables the customers to place an order in the marketplace and make offline cash payment only when the product is delivered to them. And if the customer does not make payment when the product is delivered, then the product is returned to the seller. Marketplace cash on delivery extension allows the sellers to add the COD payment method for their products. The admin can configure the COD payment method for specific countries. The sellers can manage the COD rates for their products based on the destination country, state/region, zip, and product weight. This module also enables the sellers to manage the COD orders. However, for better monitoring purposes the admin can view and analyze the cash on delivery report.
Business Value
COD Marketplace Add-On allows the seller to enable the COD payment method for the customers who do not have credit cards and debit cards to make the online payments for their purchase. Also, this module helps the sellers to avoid shutting down of potential customers who are not comfortable revealing their credit and debit card details. Furthermore, this module provides an absolute solution for the customers who fear security leaks and lack of secure payment gateways while making online payments via credit cards and debit cards.

Workflow
COD - Minimum Order Amount
The admin can apply restrictions on the COD method wherein the minimum and maximum order total must be mentioned. This makes the COD order processing more authentic. The restriction can even be implemented on a regional basis. Hence, making the COD payment method more authentic.
Cash On Delivery Products
The seller can specify the products that will have the Cash on Delivery method. All these products are visible in the Manage Cash On Delivery Products. Here the seller can easily manage the COD products as per requirement by enabling or disabling the products.
Bulk Assignment COD Status
The admin can take control of the seller product to determine the COD status on their product. This gives the store owner the power to control the quality of seller products and avoid the addition of random products to COD.
Calculating COD Rates
The seller and admin both can specify the Rates for the COD method. These rates are specified by the CSV file of zip codes in bulk. The rate herein can set by stating the name or (*) both for Destination State/Region, "ZIP/Post Code From", "ZIP/Post Code To" to calculate COD rate for Destination/Region/State, ZIP Post Code. However, based on Destination Country, State/Region, ZIP, and product weight (product unit weight* product quantity). The Calculation of the Rates takes place in the system only. COD rate will be calculated based on Destination Country, State/Region, ZIP, and product weight (product unit weight* product quantity).
If rate type is the percentage (%) then COD rate = Rate Percentage* Product Unit Price* Product Quantity
If rate type is Fixed then the Fixed-rate will be added simply in the total price.
Note - For configurable products the shipping rates will be calculated based on the associated product's weight.
Customer COD Processing
The customer can check if the product is available for the COD purpose. Herein we have specific restrictions. That is if the product is simple then the COD check can be done on the product page. However, if the product is configurable or bundled then the check can be done cart page.
Cash On Delivery Order
Both sellers and the admin can manage the COD orders. The seller can even pay the commission to the admin for such orders. Once the commission is paid to the admin the seller will not refund the amount to the customer. This marks the order as completely sold and profit earned.
COD Analysis Report
The admin can view the report of the COD orders. Thus allowing the admin to keep a check on the commission received over the sales of the product.
