Overview

Note - This module is an add-on of Webkul's Marketplace Module. To use this module, you must have purchased and installed Multi-Vendor Marketplace first.

Product Payment Restriction Marketplace Add-On allows the admin to assign payment methods to specific products and sellers. Sometimes for certain products and sellers, the admin wants to restrict some of the payment methods. So instead of fully removing the payment methods for the entire online store, why not limit the methods of payment that the store manager does not want to use for particular products and sellers. Product Payment Restriction Marketplace Add-On also enables sellers on the online store to assign their products with different payment methods. During the checkout process, the customer can view the assigned payment methods to place an order.

Please Note - The extension won't create any new method of payment for you.

Business Value

The store owner often wants to limit the use of certain methods of payment based on the type of product and seller, because all payment methods can not be appropriate for each product in the e-commerce sector. For example, you want lower-priced items like daily needs, groceries, clothes, electronics, etc. to encourage cash on delivery. But you only want to use the online payment method, bank transfer or credit card option for higher-priced items such as jewelry, paintings, or other expensive items.

Product Payment Restriction Marketplace Add-On, however, allows the store owner to apply the restriction on the product and seller with the help of which certain payment methods are only available to customers while placing the order.

How Does The Extension Work?

Module Configuration

In this section, the admin can enable or disable the module from the back-end after installation. To do so, the admin will enable the module and then restrict the payment methods for the parent product or seller as per the option.

Select Restriction Type

After the configuration, the admin can allow the payment type by choosing “Allow specific” for selective payment method or “Allow All” for all payment methods and then choose the payment methods that the admin wants to enable for a particular product.

Restrict Payment Methods For Sellers

The admin can restrict the payment methods for each seller so the admin can select the seller to whom the admin wants to assign payment method then the seller can assign only those payment methods to their products which has been assigned to the sellers by the admin.

Seller Products Payment Restrictions

The seller can also restrict the payment method to each product. On the product edit page, the seller can choose the payment method that is needed to be enabled for that particular product. And at the front end, when placing the order, the customer can only see the assigned payment methods.

Storefront Workflow

This module allows for more advanced control of the admin and sellers at the checkout. Now at the front end, when placing the order, the customer can not view the restricted payment methods. And therefore, when proceeding further for placing the order, the customer must choose the payment method.
