Overview

Note: This module is an add-on of Multi-Vendor Marketplace Module. To use this module, you must have installed Multi Vendor Marketplace Module first.

Event Manager Marketplace Add-On is beneficial in a way that it aids the admin to create event products, like food fests, theatre shows, etc. for which multiple tickets types such as ebony, platinum, gold, etc. can be created under custom options. These products and tickets are created under E-Ticket product type which facilitates the admin to add event products just as any other product is added/ created.

The sellers as well can add the event products and their ticket types in the seller panel. The events created by both the admin and the sellers are listed under Upcoming Events. For any event, the seller can send a reminder email to the customers who have purchased it.

In the frontend, the customer can purchase any event product. The product page of that event product displays information such as event name and its description, terms, and conditions, etc. The customer’s ticket details include a QR Code which will be scanned and validated by the seller when the customer arrives for the event.

When entertainment has become such an exigent aspect nowadays, therefore, providing our customers with an easy to go ticket booking system can turn out to be quite beneficial for the store owners in terms of sales and revenue generation.

Business Value

It is quite essential for the business entrepreneurs to keep an eye on the ongoing business trends and what actually the customer wants in terms of products and services. This way, business entrepreneurs can mold the features within their online stores.

One of the most imperative features that can be inculcated by business entrepreneurs is the Event Management System. Through this feature, one can even add/ include event products within their stores. What can be better than diverting the customer crowd to your store from elsewhere?

For instance, a customer wishes to book a ticket for a theatre show and find the same on your website. The customer will instantly book the tickets without giving a second thought as this shall reduce the customer’s task to download applications or surf different websites for this purpose. Thus event management is a boon for any store owner thus affecting the sales and revenue generation by enhancing the customer’s engagement with the website and business relations with the customers.

How Does It Work?

Creating Event Products

Firstly, the admin will have to configure the marketplace event ticket system settings under which the ticket system is to be enabled. The admin configures the email templates for order notifications and reminder emails, adds the event start and end dates, and enable terms and conditions.

The admin will find an E-ticket product type under which the event product can be created. The admin can add multiple ticket types such as ebony, platinum, silver, etc. for that event product in the form of custom options. Likewise, the sellers can also create event products and add multiple tickets types under add event tickets. The created events are listed under my event list in the seller panel.

Notifying Customers Through Reminder Emails

The seller will find the send reminder option against the given event. On clicking which the seller will have to select the buyer list, add a subject and reminder message to send the reminder notification to the customers of that event product. The reminder email notification which the customer receives includes the event details such as venue, event start, and end timings.

Event Listing: Upcoming Events

As the customer logs in, they will find the Upcoming Events tab under which the list of upcoming events will display. The customer can click on the book now to purchase any event product.

Event Details

In the product page, all the details relevant to the event shall be visible like event name, terms, and conditions, its ticket types, quantity, etc. The add to cart button is visible to the customer only after marking the terms and conditions for that event.

Further, in the customer’s account, under my tickets, the details of the event product are present. On viewing the ticket details, the customer will find the details such as QR code, ticket code, quantity and status, venue, ticket type, etc. which is also sent on email to the customer.

QR Code Scan

As soon as the customer reaches the event, the seller scans the QR code when a customer either shows a printed copy of the ticket or the screenshot of the email notification. On scanning the QR code, the ticket status alters from Set Used to Validating and thus a validated ticket cannot be scanned or used again.
