Australia Post is the leading shipping service provider for e-commerce businesses in Australia. Australia Post Marketplace Add-On extension has been designed for the e-commerce store owners who are based in Australia, and want to integrate Australia Post shipping into their e-commerce store.
The admin and the sellers can provide their customers to select the Australia Post shipping method for getting their shipments delivered. This shipment method allows to ship the products within Australia and internationally. The extension fetches the shipping charges that apply to products in order and displays the shipping methods applicable to the customer on the checkout page.

Use Case of Australia Post Marketplace Add-On -
Integrating this module into your website will allow the marketplace sellers to use the Australia Post shipping service for shipping their products. This module will calculate the shipping cost that is applicable for sending the product to the customer. The sellers will be able to provide Australia Post shipping service to their customers within the domestic and international regions only.
Features of Australia Post Marketplace Add-On -
- The admin can enable or disable Marketplace Australia Post method.
- The admin can set the Marketplace Australia Post shipping method name that visible on the front-end.
- The admin can set the handling fee.
- Australia Post shipping rate will calculate from seller’s address.
- The admin can allow sellers to save their Australia Post Credentials.
- Shipments can be delivered locally(within Australia) and internationally(from Australia to other countries).
Workflow of Australia Post Marketplace Add-On -
After the successful installation of the extension, the admin will navigate to Stores->Configuration-> Sales->Shipping Methods->Webkul Marketplace Australia Post Shipping to configure the module settings. Here, the admin will - enable the module, enter the shipping title visible at frontend to the customers, enter the API key received after registering at Australia Post. After this, select the weight unit as Kilograms or Pounds. You can also choose to ship to specific countries only or pick the applicable countries to ship to. Lastly, you will be able to set the handling fee if any, select yes/no to allow the sellers to save their Australia post shipping detail, and set the length, width, height dimensions for the parcel.
The sellers have to make some configuration settings under their account menu to make use of the Australia Post Shipping. The seller will navigate to Manage Australia Post shipping and enter his API key and click the save button after that.
Now, when the customer adds the seller's product into the cart and goes for the checkout, the customer can see the available list of shipping methods available from the Australia Post for the shipment with the pricing for each method. The buyer will select one of the methods as per his requirement and click next. On the order review page, the customer will be able to see the shipping method that he selected, and then he can proceed to the next step for making the payment.
Note - For the sellers to manage their orders, the admin must have set the option "Allow Sellers To Manage Orders" to "Yes" in the admin back-end settings else the sellers will not be able to manage their orders on their own.Lastly, after the customer has placed the order, the seller can efficiently manage the order by going to his account menu option - My Orders. Here the seller will open the order by tapping the - View Order option. Now the seller can generate the invoice, enter the tracking number, and then generate shipment(Slips) for the ordered product.
How to receive the API keys -
Step 1. To create a personal account(admin/seller) click here (account creation is free).
Step 2. Click here to receive your API keys(log in using your account credentials).
Step 3. After login in above step click 'Register now to get a PAC API Key' link.
Step 4. A page comes up, fill in all the required information and click submit. Now, you will receive the API key in the email address provided in step 3.
