Overview

Google Tag Manager is a service offered by Google. It is simple, reliable, and integrates easily with existing systems, allowing marketers to quickly and easily update tags and code snippets on websites that are intended for traffic analysis and marketing optimization. With the help of this extension, you will be able to quickly and easily update tags and code snippets on your website that are intended for traffic analysis and marketing optimization. The user just needs to install this extension in the first place. After enabling the module, the user needs to enter the container Id, and you are good to go.

You need to create a separate Google Tag Manager account from here and link the account with your Magento 2 store by adding the "Container ID" of your Google Tag Manager account to the current extension's configuration setting. ADDITIONAL FEES MAY APPLY. For more details related to Google Tag Manager pricing please click here.

This snippet of code connects your app to the tag manager servers. You can now make use of the web-based user interface to install the tracking codes on your website, like – the Google Analytics tags. You can also configure triggers to fire when an event occurs. An event can be something like – a page load, a tap on a screen, or a form submission. It’s all done through the Tag Manager’s web interface. When a user interacts with your content, triggers will be evaluated based on the events that you have specified, and the tags will fire accordingly.

Use Case of Google Tag Manager

The module allows you to simplify the tedious task of editing the code on your websites that are intended for traffic analysis and marketing optimization. Google Analytics and Adwords can slow down your website speed after you have put the codes on the source website. Google Tag Manager also allows third-party to handle all your script-tags, and you only need to add its code to your website.

Features of Google Tag Manager

  • Enable or disable the module from the back-end.

It’s all done through the Tag Manager’s web interface. When a user interacts with your content, triggers will be evaluated based on the events that you have specified, and the tags will fire accordingly.
