Event Calendar extension will allow the merchants to create events and display them on the storefront with an attractive calendar UI. The admin can customize the calendar height, width, background color, select store view, and choose the CMS pages where the calendar will be shown. Multiple event listings can be created for - shows, conferences, meetings, upcoming sale period.
After that, the admin can assign events to event groups. This enables customers to filter the events on the storefront. When the customer clicks on any event date of the calendar month, the detailed information about the event is visible with rich text formatting, image, and links.

How Does The Extension Work?
After a successful installation, the admin will navigate to the Event Calendar menu option under the configuration section. Here the admin can make the Event Calendar to Enable/Disable the group events manager on the store frontend & also can adjust the calendar width & height. After this, the admin will find the Event Calendar menu option in the admin sidebar panel with two options Event & Add Event Group, which will help out the admin to add events & can assign them to the desired event groups.
Under the add event option, the admin can add multiple numbers of events. The admin will find the existing/created events in form of a grid, from where the admin can even change the status, edit or can delete the event. For adding an event, the admin needs to enter the event name, date and add the description of the event in the rich text editor. The admin can also add images to the event information section.
Create Event Categories
Under Add Event Group, the admin can add any number of event groups. The admin will find the existing/created event groups in the form of a grid, from where the admin can even change the status, edit or can delete the event group. To add an event group, the admin will enter the name for the group, a detailed link for providing better information will select the desired store views, assign the events to the group, select CMS pages on which the event group must get visible. Finally, click the save button to save the configuration.
On the frontend of the store, the events get displayed to the customer using an attractive calendar UI. The customers can filter out the event as per the event category. The dates associated with events on the calendar will be highlighted and are visible with a dot to make the event clear to the customer. To view an event, the customer will click on the date box of the calendar which will lead to the event detail page. The calendar can be viewed in a pop up which shows different events of each day according to the schedule set by the admin.
