This module allows a customer to become a partner with the store owner. A customer can decide whether it wants to become a partner either at the time of sign up or request it later from My Account Information section. Partners can add or delete products, edit product information, view order information. The partners can also view latest comments & reviews about their products on the dashboard. Information about their sales is displayed used a graph. The admin can set customized commissions and earn it as per the product sale basis from the partners.

Use Case of Customer Partner -

The main usage of this module is to let anyone become a partner and starts adding & selling products on the website. As the number of partners increases, the number products will also be increased. Due to numerous products, there will be more user traffic on the website. The conversion rates will also be increased since buyers will now have more varieties and choices of products available on the same website. The admin can earn commissions from their partners as per the conditions set.

Features of Customer Partner -

  • Anyone can become a partner and add any number of products in the catalog and starts selling.
  • Various product information can be added such as - name, short & long description, sku, price, stock, weight.
  • Multiple images of the products can be uploaded from the front-end.
  • Different categories can be assigned to a product while adding or editing it.
  • A partner can view order history to view order number, status, amount, product name, customer name.
  • The dashboard can be used to view sales information such as - daily, weekly, monthly sales figure. Sales chart is also displayed on the dashboard for better understanding.
  • Partners can also ask questions to the admin through the dashboard.
  • The admin can set commission rates either for all the partners or set it individually.
  • The admin can approve or disapprove new partners and their new products from the back-end.
  • New partner products can be previewed by the admin, before approving them.
  • Products can be assigned to any partner using product ID from the back-end.

Workflow of Customer Partner -

Let us now understand the basic workflow of the customer as partner module. After installing, the admin will find following configuration options:

Percent Per Product Sale -  Using this option, the admin can set global commission rate for all the partners.

Partner & Product Approval Required - The admin can select Yes, if it wants to moderate new partners and their new products. If No is selected, then new partners and their new products will be added to the store automatically.

Admin Email-id - Enter the email address for receiving all notifications regarding partners activity.

Attribute Set ID - The admin can set the default attribute set for the new products.

Manage Products - The admin can manage partner products from this option, it can approve or disapprove products, view information about all the partner's products such as - name, price, stock, quantity-confirmed/pending/sold, revenue earned and created date & time.

Manage Partners - The admin can manage its partners from this option, it can subscribe or unsubscribe any partner, view information about all the partners such as - name, email, payment mode information, contact details etc.

Manage Commission - This option is used for setting individual commissions and payment of dues of partners. Information such as partner name, commission, payment mode details, total sales, amount-received/remaining amount/last pay amount can be viewed.

Admin Benefits - The admin will receive a commission from partners for every product sale. It can even set individual commissions for different partners. The admin will have more user traffic on its website due to the availability of more products in its catalog.

Partner Benefits - Due to limited funds and lack of expertise, any new seller would like to connect with a successful e-commerce store to showcase its products. The online presence of buyers are very high, the chances of sale conversion certainly increase. Also, the responsibilities of payment and shipment are managed by the admin.

Customer Benefits - The customers will have thousands of products in front of them, due to many partners, they get to choose different varieties and assortments of products on a single website. They can compare different products, create reviews and comments to share views about their purchases.
