Back to topUsing the Category Bulk Upload extension, the admin can create a bulk number of categories by importing category (CSV/XLS/XML) files. The admin can add multi-domains categories such as clothing, footwear, etc. at a time. The admin can easily assign the category to multiple products by simply entering the product's ids in the file. The admin can export the categories and can update the exported categories accordingly. After that, the admin can import the updated categories, and the changes will reflect in the categories in the front end. Sometimes users need to create a mass number of categories instead of one at a time and also make alterations in multiple categories at a time.
Business Value
In the default Magento, you can create categories one at a time. If the user needs to add multiple categories, then there is no option to upload categories in bulk. But using the Category Bulk Upload extension, the admin can import and create a bulk number of categories at a time and make alterations in the categories as well.
For example, if the admin wants to create 100 categories, it will take a good amount of time as creating 100 or more categories one by one is not an easy task. With the help of this module, you can create 100 categories at a time by just uploading a file. Also, if the categories require any alterations, it becomes quite easier, as you will not have to navigate each category, which is a time-consuming task.

How Does The Extension Works?
After the installation, the admin can add a bulk number of categories and update them as well.
Download Sample File
In Manage Category Mass Import section, the admin can download the sample file CSV/XLS/XML to import the categories and can edit the sample file as needed. In the sample file, the admin can add the main categories and their subcategories.
Upload Category Images
After that, the admin can import the categories along with the images or without the images. If the admin wants to add categories with category images, then the admin will have to upload the categories file along with the image zip file. (Enter the same category image name in the categories file as in the image zip file). If the admin wants to add categories without images, then the admin needs to upload only the categories file.
Mention Storefront Properties
The admin can enter the store view ID where the admin can import the categories. The admin can configure which categories shall display in the front end. The admin can also set which categories will be viewed in the menu bar and are clickable.
Add Category SEO Information
The admin can also enter meta title, meta keywords, and meta description for a category. The admin can add the products to a category by entering the product IDs.
Manage Category Mass Export
In this section, the admin can choose the store view and export the respective categories file. The admin will get the category id, parent category id, store name, category name, the path of the category, category image name, is active, is the anchor, include in the menu, meta title, meta keywords, meta description, and product's ids in the exported categories file. After exporting the category file, the admin can update the above fields and import them to make the required changes.
