With the help of blog manager extension, the store owner can add blog functionality to the store. A separate page is created for the blogs, where all the customers' posts are visible. The admin can manage the blog posts, create categories, permit bloggers, view and delete comments from the back-end panel.

The blog manager extension allows anyone to view the blog posts. The customers can go to 'My Account' menu and click 'Blog' option. The guest users can also share their views and opinions using the comments section.

Use Case of Blog Manager -

Every online store needs a blog page where the customers can share their views or opinions about the various topics that are relevant to the store. The blog manager extension provides a functionality where permitted customers can publish a post on the store. The post can be related to the product reviews, shopping tips, shopping experiences, etc. The admin has the full control over the blog page. 

Features of Blog Manager -

  • The admin can specify the word limit for the blog post.
  • The admin can allow or disallow any customer to create posts.
  • The admin can approve, disapprove or delete the comments.
  • Anyone can view the blogs without even logging into the store.
  • A guest user can also add a comment on the post.
  • The admin can delete the blog post from the back-end.
  • The customers can edit or delete the submitted posts.

Workflow of Blog Manager -

First, the admin needs to set the word limit for the post. Then, the admin needs to create categories for the blog, the admin can go to 'Webkul Blog>Categories>Add New Category'. 

After that, the admin needs to permit the customers for allowing them to create a blog post. The admin will go to 'Webkul Blog>Manage Bloggers' and select the customer from the list and then select 'Is permitted' option from the Actions menu. 

On the front end, the permitted customers will find the 'Blog' option in My Account section. For creating a new post, the customers can click 'Add New' option. The customers will first select the category and enter the post title, meta, keywords, meta description, content, and add any tags. After saving the post, it will be published on the blog page automatically.

The admin can manage the posts by going to Webkul Blog>Manage Blog. The admin can view or delete the post and the comments.
