Overview
Back to topThis extension adds two new payment methods to Magento that integrate the services provided by SETEFI Monetaweb 2.0, which is a payment gateway used by Intesa Sanpaolo to provide payment services for Italian merchants. These payment services help merchants to start receiving payments online by credit card or MyBank. MyBank is an e-authorisation solution which enables safe digital payments and identity authentication through a consumer’s own online banking portal or mobile application.
The extension then allows a merchant to receive payments on their Intesa Sanpaolo bank accounts using the Monetaweb 2.0 gateway. The two payment methods provided by this extension are used to accept credit card payments and MyBank payments. A merchant can then decide whether to use one or both of these payment options. For each one of these payment methods it is possible to choose the language that the payment page will be shown in (7 languages available at the time of writing) and also the currency that will be used for the payment (4 currencies available).
Every order placed using one of these payment methods will be automatically updated with the outcome of the payment transaction as soon as the payment provider notifies Magento about this outcome. This happens using a server-to-server call which is automatically handled by this extension.
The extension receives and handles the server-to-server payment notification. If the payment is successful the related order will be set automatically to the processing state. If the payment action is Authorize & Capture the invoice will be automatically created too. On the other hand, if the payment action is Authorize Only, then the module supports the capture of all or part of the previously authorized amount through the invoice creation feature of Magento. In case of errors it is possible to configure the extension to either leave the order in the "pending payment" state, or to automatically cancel it.
Account & Pricing
To use this extension you need to sign up to Monetaweb 2.0 service here Transaction fees will be charged for every transaction. Transaction fees vary from merchant to merchant, the amount of the fee has to be agreed upon with Intesa Sanpaolo directly.

- No sensitive data is stored in the merchant's store
- Easy test mode setup: the extension is preconfigured to test the payment process using Monetaweb's testing environment
- Multiple store views are fully supported
- Both payment actions Only Authorize and Authorize & Capture are fully supported
- If the module is set to Authorize only, it is possible to proceed to the capture of all or part of the authorized funds by generating a Magento Invoice and choosing the Capture Online option
- Ability to choose the payment page language (which can be different on each store view, 7 languages available)
- Ability to choose the payment page currency (which can be different on each website, 4 currencies available)
- Ability to choose on which country the payment is applicable
- Ability to set a minimun and maximum order total for the payment
- Ability to to enable automatic order cancel in case the payment fails
Security
From a technical point of view this extension integrates the SETEFI MonetaWeb 2.0 payment gateway using the XML Hosted 3DSecure protocol. As already said, the extensions adds two payment methods to Magento which, if selected by the customer during the checkout process, redirect the customer to the payment page hosted by the payment provider (that is Monetaweb). When the customer completes the payment he/she will be redirected to the Magento default thank you page (or to the failure page if the transaction has not been authorized).
Since all payment information is inputted on the bank's payment page, no credit card data (or other sensitive data) will be sent to your Magento store. This means that you don't have to worry about security and PCI compliance.
