Overview

This extension removes decimal numbers from the Japanese Yen, and can also specify tax rounding methods.

Overview

Generally, everyone in the Japanese market uses JPY currency as integer format. However, in Magento, prices in JPY currency are shown as float (eg. 100.54). Such expression is only used in exchange and stock trading. Thus, the way default Magento renders JPY currency is strange in a way for Japanese market. This extension fixes issues on JPY currency format and makes your store competitive in entering the Japanese market.

By default, Magento can choose tax calculation method (by unit, by row, and by total), but cannot choose rounding method. This extension adds tax rounding method (round, ceil, floor) and calculate tax amount efficiently for JPY currency. Moreover, the Japanese tax rule is really vague, the tax office never specifies a rounding method for tax calculation. With this extension, merchants can have flexible tax configuration and decide their own convenient method.

Effectively localize your business, attract more customers, and increase your revenue!

Features:

  • Modify currency precision and remove under decimal expressin for JPY.
  • Add configuration for switching tax rounding method.

Note:

This extension is currently only for JPY. Cannot use other currencies.
