Back to topToday’s online shoppers expect convenience. It should not only be easy to navigate your Webshop to make a purchase, but the checkout experience should be seamless and offer the most convenient options for your customers.
The PostNord Pickup Locator Lite adds a new delivery method to your checkout and when the customer selects it, a list of locations will load, in order of closest to the filled-in shipping address. A filter is also present in case the customer wants to search for a location in a different postal code. The customer can also search for a specific address or pickup location. So, they can for example choose a collection point at the supermarket they shop at on their way home from work. Easy and flexible.
The locations are all loaded via the carrier API, so it is also always updated with new or closed points.
With MyPack Collect delivery method the recipient will receive a message via email or SMS or the PostNord app, when the parcel is delivered and ready to be collected from the collection point the customer chose at checkout. Both recipient and sender can track the parcel until it is collected, via PostNords Track & Trace. MyPack collect can be used for parcels weighing up to 20 kgs.
Countries that are supported in the API: Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Australia, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, France, Britain, Spain, Portugal, and Poland.
Configuration
The shipping method can be configured from the admin panel in the following places: General module settings: Here you can add API, country tag description, and translations for the module. Delivery methods: Enable/disable the delivery method Add Method title Choose condition (weight or price or above) for calculating delivery price Import your delivery rates Pickup locator settings API keys Number of pickup locations to display
Module Includes
PostNord pickup locator module includes all the PostNord service points supported by the PostNord API.
The module shows and records the following service point data:
· Title
· Street
· Postcode
· City
· Opening Hours
Features
- Pickup Location search
After selecting the Pickup Locator shipping method, input for specifying postcode is shown. A list of locations is rendered after specifying/updating search details (country and postcode):
- Locations filtering
If there are more than 4 locations in the search results, a filter field is rendered for applying a search among the results.
· Admin Panel Order Placement
It is possible to place Pickup Locator orders from the admin panel as well. A Location Selector window is opened on the 'Select Pickup Location' button click in Magento admin.
- Checkout compatibility
The module is compatible with Magento standard checkout.
Other carriers
Pickup locator modules exist for other carriers. Each shipping provider has a separate module that can easily be purchased and installed.
