Overview

The Trust Payments extension offers a simple and easy to implement method for merchants to add e-payment capabilities to their Adobe Commerce online commerce setup.

Account and Pricing

The module itself is free however please note that Trust Payments will charge a fee for use of their services, which is bespoke to your requirements on a per merchant basis. If you are not a Trust Payments customer, you will need to register for use of our services. You can contact Trust Payments for further information on how to set up an account and pricing.

To fully benefit from the extension, merchants will need to create separate profiles with Trust Payments in order to process payments and manage orders. These credentials must then be entered into the extension. Installation instructions can be found here

Features

Easily add payment capabilities to your ecommerce website:

  • Build a seamless, fully customised online payment experience with or without any redirects (hosted payment page or JavaScript plug-in available)
  • Accept multiple payment types - credit/debit cards, Apple Pay/Google Pay etc.
  • Easily process Mail Order Telephone Order (MOTO) transactions through the admin panel.

The Trust Payments extension can integrate with multiple APIs to facilitate typical back-office functions such as transaction updates and refunds.

Other payment methods supported within the extension are Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal.

With Trust Payments, Adobe Commerce merchants can:

  • Accept all major payment cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, JCB, Diners/Discover).
  • Process payments securely on dedicated HTTPS server hosted by Trust Payments (including on mobiles via a separate SDK)
  • Feature the gateway on your existing website by using a JavaScript Library integration
  • Be PCI compliant as Trust Payments handles the customer’s payment session including any Secure Customer Authentication (SCA) required by EMV 3-D Secure
  • Offer the feature of Saved Cards meaning that returning customers can save their card details for faster transactions in the future
  • Customise your checkout page to reflect your brand and maintain great customer experience
  • Accept a large variety of currencies and settle in 15 of these
  • Deploy other new payment methods quickly with minimal configuration needed
  • View and manage all transactions using our online portal including a Virtual Terminal for transactions not processed in-person
  • Utilise multi-shipping for a single order
  • Offer subscriptions (Recurring and Instalments) with scheme updates.

With these products your customers can enjoy support and guidance from Trust Payments including:

  • 24/7 support – We have a faster and more agile support team available around the clock
  • Our Webservices API provides a secure integration for your systems into our gateway
  • You can keep your checkout experience streamlined with your existing website without the need to redirect customers to a page hosted by Trust Payments.

Security & PCI Compliance

Trust Payments supports both 'Authorize Only' and 'Authorize and Capture' Ecommerce Payment Actions and includes PCI DSS to simplify your compliance needs, as well as 3D Secure v2.

You can choose to use our JavaScript Library to process payments. The advantage of this is that you are not required to handle sensitive payment credentials on your system, meaning you may be subject to less stringent self-assessment proceedings.

When your customers reach your checkout page, they can securely enter payment information on our hosted payment pages which are PCI DSS Level 1 compliant.

This reduces your level of PCI DSS compliance to the lowest possible level by not handling sensitive payment data.

As part of these requirements, you will typically still be expected to complete a Self-Assessment-Questionnaire (SAQ). The level of SAQ depends on the type of payments you are processing through Trust Payments. If via Hosted Payment Pages (HPP) or the JavaScript Library (JS), this will be SAQ Level A. In addition, for transactions not processed in person (MOTO), you will also be required to complete an SAQ Level C.

Before your system begins to process transactions with sensitive data, you should review the following resources with a contact from your acquiring bank to identify the exact requirements your solution is expected to meet. These requirements are primarily determined by the level associated with your solution, a criteria assigned based on the volume of transactions your solution processes over a 12 month period.

By entering data onto our secure checkout page, this data will be processed through Trust Payments and stored on the Adobe server.
