Spryng Payments PCI compliance:

PCI Security Standards Council is a global forum for the ongoing development, enhancement, storage, dissemination and implementation of security standards for account data protection. Spryng Payments keeps your system, client and order data secure so customers can trustly pay you with their sensitive payment card information.

Outline the method being used (API, Redirect or Both)

We use both. Some of the payment products we offer feature a redirect where the user authenticates on a different page. These methods include:

  • iDEAL
  • PayPal
  • SEPA Direct Debit

Others can be completed in the webshop directly:

  • CreditCard (Card token is generated on the frontend and send to the server)
  • Klarna
  • Bancontact (Card token is generated on the frontend and send to the server)

Outline how the above interacts with PCI

None of the above payment methods require the holder of the webshop to be PCI compliant themselves. That is because the webshop server will NEVER interact with credit card data directly. When a user enters their credit card information, this data is sent from their computer (on the frontend) to our servers (which are under PCI compliance). When this (AJAX) call is successful, a token is returned. This token is send in the checkout form to the webshop server. The fields that hold the credit card information are emptied before the form is submitted.
