ConnectPOS uses an API to connect to Magento and utilizes Magento API. After it is installed successfully, your products will appear on the screen and other data (customers, purchase history, tax settings, etc.) will also be pulled to POS. ConnectPOS applies Magento tax rules but calculates them directly instead of sending data to Magento and waiting for the returned results.
