The extension adds the discounts generated by the catalog price rules right to the cart totals. At the same time, the cart products’ prices get original values. The trick is to make the catalog discounts, ones available on the product/category pages only, say their final word in the cart following the style of the shopping cart discounts. To say more, both discount types can work simultaneously so the discount-related calculations are always correct.
