Rootways Moneris Payment Gateway extension for Magento 2, it allows users to capture payment to the Moneris account from the Magento 2 website. Our extension capture payment from the Magento checkout page without redirecting to the Moneris server, also our extension has a 2nd payment method called Hosted Payment Page, which redirects the user to the Moneris secure hosted payment page and capture payment from this page. With the Hosted Payment Page Payment Method customer enter credit card data to the Moneris secured server, not on the Magento server. Without heading off to your Moneris dashboard capture, refund, and cancel the orders directly from the Magento admin. It supports all major credit cards. Our extension is easy to install and configure.
Our extension uses an API method to allow your clients to enter the credit card info on your Magento store. Hence the customers will have not to leave your Magento store in any situation. You just need to have an SSL certificate and PCI-compliant hosting for secure payment processing. Enabling the Hosted Payment Page Payment Method of our extension will allow your customers to enter their credit card details on the Moneris secure Hosted Payment Page rather than on your website server. Thus, it will diminish the risk of your PCI compliance making it more safe and secure.
Account & Pricing
You must sign up for a Moneris account for taking API details. You can sign up by using this link https://www.moneris.com. The Moneris account will not be generated during the installation of an extension. Generally, Moneris service charges start at 1.98% per transaction, you can read more here, also transaction fees can be different based on your account type, please contact Moneris for detailed pricing.
Security
- The Magento DB will not store any credit card or sensitive.
- Our extension is API-based extension.
- If the Hosted Payment Page Payment Method is enabled then credit card data is entered on the Moneris server, not in the Magento server. If API-based credit card payment method is enabled then the credit card is entered on the Magento server but our extension does not save any details on the Magento server.
- Our extension has Hosted Payment Page Payment methods, if the Hosted Payment Page is enabled, then it wins the customer trust as complies with the PCI Security Standards.
- AVS and CVV are enabled on your Moneris account then the order will be only generated when your address and CVV match with your credit card. So you can prevent fraud transactions by this.

API Based Payment Method
Rootways Moneris Payment Gateway extension has API based credit card payment method which allows a user to enter a credit card on the Magento checkout page and capture payment to the Moneris account without leaving the Magento website.
Hosted Payment Page Payment Method
This extension also has a second payment method called Moneris Hosted Payment Page which allows a user to enter a credit card to the Moneris secure hosted payment page rather than to the Magento server. When a user clicks on the Place Order button from the Magento checkout final step it will be redirected to the Moneris Hosted Payment Page to enter credit card details and if the payment detail is correct then the user will be redirected to the Magento success page.
Hosted Payment Form (Moneris Checkout)
This feature will load the Moneris hosted payment form on the Magento checkout page. It is also called Moneris Checkout. In addition, users can enter all credit card details in the Moneris iframe instead of the Magento page. This makes it more secure and PCI compliant.
Apple Pay
Moneris payment extension by Rootways provides a feature of generating orders by Apple pay. Apple Pay is a secure digital wallet service from Apple Inc. that enables users to make payments in person, on iOS apps, and on the internet using the Safari browser. Rootways Moneris payment module also supports the 3DS feature. 3D Secure is a protected online payment service open for VISA and Master cards. 3DS feature is designed to be an additional security level for online payments. 3DS gives customers the option to complete an additional verification step with the card issuer when paying for fraud protection.

Authorize & Capture:
Rootways Moneris payment extension facilitates to authorize and capture. The credit card is charged only when the order is accepted.
CVV Verification:
Manage whether to inspect the CVV or not while purchasing from the Magento 2 store from the Magento admin.
Address Verification (AVS):
Control whether to verify the billing address with the entered credit card address or not from the Admin. Magento admin will display AVS verified if both the address matches.
Supports Full & Partial Refund:
You can regulate the refund payment. Rootways Moneris payment extension permits you for partial or full refund payment from the Magento admin.
Allow Countries:
You can allow the Moneris payment gateway method either for all countries or specific countries only from the Magento admin.
Minimum & Maximum Order Total:
You can allow the Moneris payment gateway only if the order total is between the minimum and maximum order total amount. You can set the maximum and minimum order total amount from the Magento admin.
