Payment & Shipping Methods By Customer Group allows merchants to restrict the availability of specific payment or shipping methods based upon different customer groups. This access can be restricted to the store view level. Are you interested in managing shipping and payment methods based on customer groups? If you are like most eCommerce merchants, you probably have a diverse group of customers and you probably don't want to offer every payment method to every customer group. This extension makes managing shipping and payment methods easy. The best part is it's absolutely free.

PHP Studios is here to solve your problem to assist customer groups by shipping and payment methods. By this extension, e-commerce sellers are able to assign different shipping and payment methods to any specific customer group. With Payment & Shipping By Customer Group extension sellers can handle shipping and payment methods for customer groups on multiple store views.

Features

  • Allow merchants to restrict the availability of specific payment or shipping methods based upon different customer groups.
  • Access can be restricted on different store-view levels.
  • From the admin panel via CSVSPM configuration, merchants can configure any number of customer groups as their required store view.
  • CSVSPM provides you a grid on the admin panel where merchants can see the details of configurations.

Frontend:

On the checkout page, customers are only allowed to see the payment methods that you have made visible for their particular group in your CSVSPM configurations in your store's Admin Portal.

Backend:

To create a new CSVSPM Configuration, these steps need to be followed:

  • Status (Enable/Disable)
  • Select store view
  • Select customer group
  • Select payment methods
  • Select shipping methods

NOTE: Payment and shipping methods consist of multi-select fields where merchants can assign multiple shipping and payment methods to a specific customer group.

CSVSPM Grid:

Merchants are provided with a CSVSPM grid where they can view the list of their saved configurations.

Editable Configurations In-Grid:

All saved configurations have editable fields that are listed below:

  • Status (Enable/Disable)
  • Customer Group
  • Payment Methods
  • Shipping Methods

Merchant can delete one by one or can use mass delete action for multiple configurations from the CSVSPM grid.

Duplicate Configurations

If a merchant attempts to enter a Shipping or Payment Method configuration that already exists,  they will be redirected to the existing configuration with the following message, (“There is an existing configuration for this Store View and Customer Group”).

CSVSPM Fallback Configuration

  • This configuration applies to those customers whose customer group and store view combo doesn't exist in the CSVSPM grid.
  • Enabling this will let the site show the payment/shipping method as per their general enable/disable config.
  • Disabling this config will only show the payment/shipping method saved in CSVSPM configuration to the customer.
  • By Default, the Fallback config is set to be “Yes”.

Troubleshoot

  • If fallback is enabled (Yes) and in CSVSPM configuration no payment/shipping methods assigned to specific customer groups, available default payment, and shipping methods will not be rendered.
  • If fallback is disabled (No) and in CSVSPM configuration no payment/shipping methods assigned to specific customer groups, default settings of payment, and shipping available in store view will be rendered.
  • To use CSVSPM Configurations functionality disable fallback configuration.
