Back to topSometimes, customer(s) want to ask some questions from the vendor related to a specific product. For example, a customer may want to know the fabric type of a shirt he wants to buy. PHPStudios provides an ultimate solution for this. Ask question extension lets the customer ask any question they have related to a product of their interest instantly from the PDP page. The vendor gets notified via email about the customer query. When the vendor gives a reply to the customer query, the customer is also notified via email that his query is addressed. This extension works for the community, enterprise, and cloud versions.
Features
- Provides a Query block on the PDP page.
- Customer(s) can add their name, email address, and the question he wants to ask from the vendor.
- Provides an Admin Grid that lists all the questions asked by the customers, and the replies associated with them. Admin can reply from the “Reply” action column of this grid.
- Vendor(s) can enable and set custom email addresses on which they want to receive customer queries.
- Vendor(s) can enable/disable this feature from store configurations.
Key Features
Asking Question from Vendor on PDP:
To ask a question related to a product, go to the product description page, click on “Any queries about this product? Ask a Question to Seller”. A form will appear. Enter your name, email address, and the question you have related to the product. Click on Submit Question. The question will be registered, an email will be sent to the email address of the vendor. A success message will appear below the Submit Question button.
Admin Grid Listing Questions & Reply:
Clicking on the PHPSTUDIOS -> Manage Questions menu. A grid will appear that lists all the questions asked by the customers. The grid contains Question Id, Customer Name, User Email, Product SKU, Question, Answer, Asked on, and Reply Action columns. The Answer column contains an answer to the question asked if the vendor has replied to that question. The vendor can change his reply by again replying to the same question.
Upon clicking on the Reply Action column, a single field form appears where the Vendor can write his answer. After writing the answer, the vendor will click on the Save button. The reply will be sent to the customer via email on the customer-provided User Email Address. It will also be added to the Answer column of the grid shown above.
Custom Vendor Email:
A vendor can change his email address where he wants to receive customer queries by going to Stores -> Configurations. Under the PHPSTUDIOS tab, click on Ask Question. Under Custom Configuration, change “Want to use other email address” to ‘Yes’ and add a custom email address to the ‘Email Address’ field. Click on the Save Config button. Now, customer questions will be received at this email address.
