Connect Drupal with Magento
OverviewBack to top
Drupal is one of the most popular open source Content Management Systems (CMS), used to power hundreds of thousands of web sites worldwide. The current version of the CMS is Drupal 8.
DrupalConnect is designed to easily allow Drupal 8 content to be transferred to your Magento 2 site. With DrupalConnectyou can transfer images, text and design (provided that design is inline). DrupalConnectcan drastically reduce developing time for your Magento 2 store.
A separate Drupal account is required to use this extension. This account will be provided by your Drupal system administrator. You can also open an account on the main Drupal.org site by signing up here.
Although this extension is free of charge, managing your Drupal-based web site may incur additional costs, depending on your environment, configuration and hosting provider.
DrupalConnect is added in the list of Magento 2 routers, and in case of a 404 (Not Found) response from Magento it contacts the Drupal server and looks for a REST ( JSON) response. If the given URL is found on the Drupal server then that site is stored in the database and in the Redis cache. However, if the site is not found then the custom 404 page is displayed which is nearly identical to Magento 2 404 page. DrupalConnect custom fields are located in the admin area (Stores > Configuration > General > General > DrupalConnect) and there you can configure all the settings you need, including but not limited to the Server URL, fetch methods, authentication, username and password.
