Transacting Through Optty:

Unchanged Checkout Display: Optty is simply the integration tool that powers your operations, & does not appear anywhere in the checkout process. Your website will look & feel as it would have before Optty integration.

Redirect Functionality: Transactions occur normally, as customers are redirected from the merchant site directly to the BNPL Hosted Payment Page.

Free Refund Functionality: Online & in-store refund functionality is included with Optty. There is no fee charged on these transactions (partial or full refunds).

Post Order Process: Remains as normal & is managed directly through the BNPL partner.

Maintain optimal transaction processing speeds: There is no change in processing speeds when transacting through Optty.

Direct settlement between the BNPL & the merchant: Optty does not facilitate settlement.

Technical Details & Security:

Licensing Agreement: The contractual relationship remains between the merchant & BNPL partner. Optty is removed from this process & is simply the technology that powers the operations. See our terms & conditions here.

Sandbox Testing: All partners within the Optty network have been extensively tested before launch.

PCI: Optty do not handle any card information. The user is redirected to the Buy Now Pay Later provider checkout page, to proceed with the payment process.

PII: Customer data collected by Optty is only stored in memory as part of the payload sent to BNPL providers. However, the customer email address is hashed using SHA512 hashing algorithm & the hash value is stored as a unique identiﬁer for each customer.

All Payment modes can store non-sensitive customer data in Magento's backend including full name, email, shipping details & order history, so you can easily keep track of your customers & sales.
