Google Cloud Storage for Magento 1.x provides the ability to store media files in a Google Cloud Storage bucket. There are several advantages in using cloud-based storage solutions, including:
- Integration with CDN (e.g., Google Cloud CDN)
- Easily create external backups
- Reduce storage costs
Please Note: Google Cloud Storage for Magento 1.x requires Google Cloud PHP Autoloader to be installed prior to use. Visit the GitHub repository for more details.

Use of Google Cloud Storage for Magento 1.x requires an active Google account and a Google Cloud Platform project with the Google Cloud Storage API enabled. Accounts are not created during extension installation - you can sign up for an account here. Google Cloud Storage pricing varies by region and grade. See Cloud Storage Pricing for more details.
Google Cloud Storage for Magento 1.x will synchronize all of the following:
- WYSIWYG images
- Captcha images
- Category images
- Product images
- Generated thumbnails
Disabled by default, there is also the option to synchronize downloadable product files, including:
- Product link files
- Product sample files
