Overview

By default, Magento uses Sendmail to send emails. Most often, it causes deliverability issues and leads to your emails being interpreted as spam or rejected. In order to avoid that and send emails with Magento, there should be an SMTP server configured. SMTP, or Simple Mail Transfer Protocol, is a protocol for sending emails between servers.

In fact, what SMTP servers actually do is transfer your email messages to their destination. Custom SMTP extension by Neklo gives you the ability to change the default Magento SMTP settings and send your emails with any custom SMTP server required, keeping your data secured. Once you install the extension, you will be able to send emails using remote servers and reliable email providers. Follow-ups, automatic reminders, and order confirmations – with the Custom SMTP extension all your correspondence will be delivered on time.
