For example, at midnight the system will make a backup copy. Magento uses cron jobs for activities such as upgrading pricing rules, sending newsletters to customers, updating the site map, alerting customers, updating exchange rates, removing temp files, and updating indexes.
With our Cron Job Runner extension, you are now able to set up cron jobs easily. The extension gives you an opportunity to run your cron jobs anytime such a necessity arises, using your admin panel. You will get access to the advanced cron jobs management from the Magento admin panel. Our extension allows you to configure the schedule of cron jobs and see the results of the jobs that have run.
