Overview

The Recurring & subscription payments extension allows the admin to sell products on a subscription to their customers. Admin can create multiple plans for a product that the buyers can choose from. Each plan can have their own terms and pricing model. Buyers will be charged automatically for their subscription via the credit card they used to start the subscription and new orders will be generated in the Admin panel each time. The store owner can manage all the subscriptions from the Magento admin panel. The store owner can change the status for the subscription order and can even pay on the customer's behalf. The buyer can see all of their subscription orders in their account section where they have the choice of paying for an installment or suspending or terminating their subscription. Both Subscription and non-subscription products can be ordered together in a single cart where only the subscription order will repeat in its respective cycle.

Features

Admin has the option to restrict the customers to buy the product only on a subscription or let them choose between a subscription and a one-time purchase.
Admin can create multiple plans that the customers can choose from based on their requirements.
For a better understanding of the plan, the admin can add a detailed overview of the plan that the user can see when he selects the plan.
The buyer will see the selected plan on the cart page as well as the checkout page next to the product.

Added advantages

A single order can contain subscription and non-subscription products.
A single order can contain multiple subscription orders of the same or different kinds of products.
The store owner can place an order on behalf of the customers from the admin panel.
Subscription label can be changed from the back-end to attract customers for subscribing. Few examples are “Subscribe and save 50%:, “Subscribe now and get 10% instant discount” etc.
The store owner can select the customer groups eligible for the subscription service.
Admin can define the terms and conditions for the subscriptions from the back-end.
Admin can edit the subscription payments from the admin panel in case of offline payment.

Subscription management

Buyers can view their subscription orders from the account section. They can:
- Check the status of the subscription.
- Pay for the installment.
- Suspend and terminal a subscription.
All subscription data including status, customer details, plans and products are available for the admin to see from the back-end panel.
All subscription data can be exported in the CSV format.

Subscription plans & terms

Multiple plans can be created with different terms that the buyers can select from.
Multiple products can be added to the same plan.
Store owners can give each plan a name which will be visible to the buyer on the front-end.
The frequency of the term can be set to days/weeks/months and even years.
Admin can set ‘Price per term’ for each term which can be a percentage of the original product price or a fixed amount.
Set the number of cycles for each term. It can be set to any positive integer or 0 for an infinite subscription.
Admin can set when a subscription order gets activated after being placed. Subscriptions can be activated on:
- Order placement
- Invoice generation
- Order completion
- Manually by admin
Admin can set when the subscription billing should start once the order is placed:
- Selected by customer
- Moment of purchase
- The first day of the next month.
The status of the subscription can be manually changed by the Admin to:
- Active
- Suspended
- Suspended by the customer
- Expired
- Terminated

Discount Settings

Different discounts can be set for different plans.
Admin can restrict the discounts to selected customer groups.
A fixed amount or a percentage of the product can be provided as a discount.
Discount can be applied to:
- All terms of a subscription plan
- First term of the plan
- All terms except the first term

Email Settings

Email notifications can be sent to customers on:

Order Confirmation
Payment confirmation.
Upcoming payment reminder.
Subscription status notifications.
Subscription expiry reminder.
