Overview

Nowadays, It's undeniably challenging for customers to buy expensive products immediately. Users look over their budget and find it difficult to fit expensive products, at last end up discarding the product from the cart. This may lead to a dropping in sales from the cart. Now, It's on the store owners to provide the extraordinary features that can help the customers to ease their payment process. Taking the above points into consideration, we developed the module named Partial Payment for Magento 2 that facilitates the payment cycle of the customers.

Partial Payment for Magento 2 provides the feature to sell the products in installments, EMI and layaway plans. Customers can buy the product immediately by paying the down payment and the remaining amount can be through multiple installments. The Partial Payment facility also includes Flexi layaway plans which mean customers can choose the number of installments before purchasing the order. This Partial Payment feature can be availed on multiple products as well as on the whole cart.

Increase your sales and brand awareness with the Partial Payment module developed by Milople!

How Admin can create payment plans?

  •  Admin can select the products in which you want to apply a partial payment plan.
  •  Define the total number of Installments in which the buyer has to complete the payment.
  •  Set down payment amount as a fixed amount (Like $50) or % value (Like 20% of Price)
  •  Set installment schedule monthly/daily/weekly.
  •  Select a fixed installment plan or Flexi layaway plan.

How buyer can place an order?

  •  Buyers can choose if they want to buy the product with partial payment or full payment. Admin can decide if the buyer can have this option in  Magento partial payment extension.
  •  A tooltip window explains the payment plan in detail.
  •  A buyer can select the partial payment option from the product page or cart page, depending on the admin settings.
  •  A buyer will see the down payment and remaining amount both on the cart page as well as the checkout page.
  •  From the "My Account" section, customers can keep track of the amount already paid, the amount to be paid, and the number of installments remaining.

How buyers pay installments?

  • Buyers can make a payment from the "My Account" section.
  • Installments would be auto-captured from the buyer's credit card in the Auto version of the Partial Payment Magento 2 Extension.
  • Admin can mark payment manually from the backend.
  • Prepayment/advance payment of an installment is possible, unlike cart pay later extension.

Orders and Invoice Management

  •  Admin can see All paid and pending installments of order from Magento Partial payment order grid.
  •  Buyer can see all installment and order details(amount paid and to be paid later) from the "My Account" section.
  •  The Invoice would be generated once at order placement and will be updated regularly with each installment payment with details of the amount paid and to be paid later.
  • Partial payment extension does not change or make any difference to default Magento order status.
  • Extension manages all installments of one order in single order itself and does not create different orders for each installment. This makes order management much easier for store admin.

 Features:

  • Admin can set enable/disable the option of sending emails and notifications to customers for different events.
  • The seller can add an installment fee to the value of the order and can include it in a down-payment amount or distribute it in all installments.
  • You can customize the "Installment fee" button label to something like "Installment charge", "Surcharge" etc.
  • Discount, shipping cost, and taxes can be applied to the down payment or can be distributed in the remaining installments equally.
  • Place partial payment orders from Magento Backend.
  • Setup installment configuration either globally OR individually for each product.
  • Set credit limit and alert message for customers so they would not have total installments amount pending, beyond that limit.
  • Limit the Partial Payment facility to certain user groups only.
  • Define the same or different Down payment and Installment plans for each product.
  • Allow Guest buyers to place partial payment orders.
  • The user can select the Partial Payment option from the Product view page or Cart page as specified in the Magento backend.
  • Option to pay in Installments is available along with an attractive tip window explaining the Installment plan.
  • Products With and Without Partial Payment can be purchased in the same order.
  • Multiple products with Partial Payment can be purchased in the same order.
