How quickly do you deliver your store orders? What is your shipping charge? Is your shipping reliable? How many delivery options do you offer? Shipping service management has a large impact on the user experience that you offer and how efficiently the orders are managed.

You need to have a sound system for shipping price management in your Magento 2 store for smooth functioning. Meetanshi offers Shipping Table Rates for Magento 2 to help the admin calculate and charge shipping prices based on various factors like Shipping Destinations, Product Weight, Price, and Quantity.

Features:

  • Shipping Table Rates module allows you to create a number of shipping methods based on various factors. One can use necessary parameters like Shipping Destinations, Product Weight, Price, and Quantity or their combination to calculate the shipping charge. For example, charge a $10 flat rate for lightweight items having a quantity of 5 or above and $15 for heavy items with lesser quantity.
  • Facilitates to sum up the rates as well as select minimal/maximal rates.
  • The extension also allows calculating shipping rates either in a flat rate or in percentage with different types as PPP, FRPP, FRPUW
  • Option to calculate shipping table rates based on a delivery address, order subtotal, weight, and price.
  • The module offers a "Shipping Table Rates" grid that enables the admin to add a new method to import shipping table rates.
  • The admin can set a custom method name with variable {day} to display the estimated delivery days if added through the CSV.
  • Option to activate the shipping method from the admin panel
  • Set the priority of the shipping method
  • Option to calculate the shipping for products with different shipping types in one of these three ways:

    • Select Minimal Rate - The shipping rate of the product with the minimum amount gets charged.
  • Restrict the shipping methods for the selected store views and customer groups.
  • Option to define table rates in bulk through uploading CSV having shipping rates
  • Show estimated delivery date and time with each shipping method

  • Option to download the sample CSV for reference

How Does The Extension Work?

The admin can enable the extension to charge custom shipping rates based on shipping locations, product weight, price, and quantity. For that, he can add a new method to import shipping table rates from the backend grid, "Shipping Table Rates".

The admin can enter the method details, activate it, set the method priority, select the calculation action, store views, customer groups, and upload a CSV to import the shipping rates.

The admin can download the sample CSV file and prepare shipping rates CSV with the reference.

The admin can see the imported rates from the added shipping table rates method under "Methods and Rates".

He can also download the CSV file of the existing shipping table rates method.

After importing the shipping rates, the admin can configure the shipping method. For that, he can enable shipping table rates for checkout, set the method title, select the countries to allow using the method, and add an error message to display in the frontend for the method unavailability. The admin can also allow free shipping promotions, ignore the price and quantity of virtual products, compare postcodes as range or regular expressions, use price after the discount is deducted, use price inclusive of tax, and use only one shipping type for the method.

The admin can create a shipping type attribute. He can create values for the attribute and assign the shipping type to the products to calculate the shipping rates.

In the frontend, when a user adds a product to the cart, the shipping table rate method is shown if available. On selection, shipping charges are calculated, applied, and displayed in the subtotal on the cart page. The shipping charge also gets displayed in the order summary on the checkout page. The customer can check the shipping table rates under the Shipping Method in the My Account section after the order is placed using the method.

The admin can check the shipping method and charge details in the order view section in the backend
