Shipping Rules

Flexible shipping rules implementation is a must for an E-commerce store. If not, it would lead to miscalculations in shipping rates and compel customers to abandon their cart, thus a loss for the store. In the case of a Magento 2 store, the default functionality lacks in the implementation of shipping rules, and thus Meetanshi has developed Shipping Rules for Magento 2 that allows creating custom shipping rules based on various product conditions and cart attributes.

Change the rates set by default shipping carriers. No limits on the number of shipping rules created for a Magento 2 store. Add delivery charges, offer a discount, or modify the rules to execute any changes, everything with Shipping Rules for Magento 2!

Flexible shipping rules are now possible with the help of the module. The feature-rich extension allows us to create shipping rules based on product conditions and cart attributes, delivery location, store views, customer groups, etc. as well as modify the default settings!

How Does The Extension Work?

The admin can easily manage the shipping rules via the backend grid. The admin can create a new rule from the Sales > Shipping Rules > "Add rule" button by adding the rule name, selecting the shipping carriers and their methods to apply the rule on, and select the store view and the customer group. To prioritize in the case of multiple rules, the admin sets the priority for the rule he has been creating.

The extension offers 3 rate calculation types to apply a surcharge, replace rates or discount the shipping rates. The admin has to set shipping rates per order, fixed shipping rate per product, percentage shipping rate per product and handling charges. The admin can also set product conditions, shipping address conditions and day and time of the week to apply the rule. Once the rule has been created, it should be activated to start applying shipping rates.

From the frontend, whenever a customer adds the product to the cart, selects the shipping address and shipping method, the shipping rates are calculated and charged based on the rules applicable to the product. The customer can select the shipping method, proceed to checkout and place the order.
