Back to topShipping policy and shipping management is part and parcel of management of a Magento 2 store. However, gaining control over the shipping methods and managing it cost-effectively is not possible in default Magento 2. Hence, Meetanshi has developed the Shipping Restrictions for Magento 2 extension.
The extension allows restricting shipping methods based on cart and customer attributes. Limit the shipping methods by store views, customer groups, and that offered by the shipping carriers. The Shipping Restrictions for Magento 2 is what you need to offer the feasible shipping system suitable for your store business as well as customers!
How Does The Extension Work?
Configure the module to restrict shipping methods for various conditions. The backend grid "Shipping Restrictions" offers the "Add Rule" button to create a new rule. This grid also lists the already created and saved shipping rules.
The admin has to set the custom rule name, select the shipping carriers and methods on which the rule is to be applied, select the store view and customer groups, and set the custom error message for frontend display for shipping method restriction. Activate the rule status and enable it for the admin to apply the rule while creating the backend orders. The admin can select restriction conditions to apply the rule. Choose the cart and customer attributes and its combination to set the condition to apply shipping restrictions.
The admin can set the application of a shipping rule for specific days and time from the "Days & Time" tab under Rules Configuration. Once configured, the cart page displays the shipping restriction block with the error message. Moreover, the error message is also displayed for the backend orders satisfying the conditions.
