Meetanshi has developed Limit Quantity Per Category for Magento 2 extension that allows the admin to set minimum and maximum order quantity per category for each customer group. This helps the admin to increase sales and profit margin.
The default Magento 2 only supports setting a minimum and maximum quantity in the shopping cart for each product. To restrict the product quantity per category based on the customer groups, the Min/Max Order Quantity per Category for Magento 2 extension comes into the picture.
The extension allows the admin to set the minimum and maximum quantity per category to meet to checkout successfully. In case, the buyers add more or lesser quantity, they are shown an error message and they cannot proceed to checkout until they meet the quantity condition.
With Limit Quantity Per Category for Magento 2, manage the order fulfillment process that includes shipping and packaging in such a way that it does not reduce the profit margins!
How Does The Extension Work?
The admin can enable the option to show the category name in the cart page, set the error message to be displayed for the maximum quantity limit error and the minimum quantity limit error and set quantity threshold per category for the customer groups.
In the frontend, whenever the customers add the product to the cart, they can see the category name to double-check the items added to the cart. When they proceed to checkout by exceeding the quantity threshold value, they get the error message. Similarly, the error message is displayed on the cart page if the quantity does not reach the minimum value required.
Benefits:
- Assign a minimum and maximum quantity order quantity for products in a category for each customer group to checkout successfully.
- Enable the category name in the cart. In the case of multi-categorized products, display all the category names irrespective of from which category it was added to the cart.
- Restrict checkout when the conditions set by the admin are not met. Hide the checkout button and show a notification message.
- For products belonging to multiple categories, its condition for the quantity must match for all the categories.
- Manage the cost of shipping and packaging effectively in the store.
