KNET is a famous & widely used payment gateway in Kuwait. People of Kuwait generally prefer to make online payments using KNET payment gateway and that is why it is a wise decision to use KNET as a Payment Gateway for a familiar experience while proceeding with payments.

Account and Pricing:
As KNET gateway doesn't provide direct service to merchants, to commence using KNET payment gateway in Magento 2, you need to signup for with any of the member banks. Additional fees may apply, but vary from bank to bank.
After the successful signup, merchants have to go through a certification process which usually takes the maximum of 2 weeks of testing. Apart from this certification, merchants have to obtain a digital certificate from the authorities. After the certification process, KNET sends the notification to the acquiring bank with the result and the date from when the merchant can start using Knet payment gateway in their websites.

Merchants need to get certified from authority to allow E-commerce transactions in their stores.

As the authorization details like passwords are sent to merchant's web servers, KNET only accepts https communication between the merchant web stores and KNET Payment Gateway using Port: 443.
Alias and Resource File for the Payment Initialization
The extension contains the alias name, merchant’s resource file and a class file, the path to the alias and resource file should be specified on the payment initialization page. Also, the name of the class file e24PaymentPipe.inc.php should be included in the payment initialization page.
How does the KNET Payments extension for Magento 2 work?
After the successful certification and registration with KNET Payment Gateway, login to Magento 2 admin panel. Simply specify the title of the payment method, enter alias provided by the gateway while registration and select the language of the payment and voila!, your Magento 2 Store is now ready to accept payments using KNET Payment Gateway.

Once customers add products to cart and proceed to pay using KNET payment method, they get redirected to KNET payment gateway to enter card details, confirm them and complete payment. The whole payment process is hosted by the KNET Payment Gateway and customers' card details are never stored in Magento 2 server and thus it ensures secured payment process.
