How Does The Extension Work?
The admin configures the extension to convert the guest to customers, either manually or automatically. The admin can assign customer groups to automatically converted customers. Once converted, the orders are assigned with the same checkout Email to the customers and the customers are notified of the account creation via an Email. From a separate grid in the backend, the admin can manage all the guests, select them and assign them to a customer group in bulk. Once the guests are converted to the customers, all the data is updated to the "Customers" grid.
From the frontend, whenever a customer tries to place an order using the guest checkout, the extension auto converts the guest user to customer or add the details of the guest user in the backend grid for the admin to manually convert him to the customer. After the auto-conversion of the guests to customers, they get an email notification. The extension thus makes it easy for the admin to convert the guest users to the customers. It also saves the customers' time to sign in and fill out the lengthy registration forms manually.
