• Once the extension is configured, the customer can conveniently purchase gift cards in Magento 2 from the front end by entering the recipient's name & email address along with a custom message.
• The recipient receives an email and/or SMS notification regarding the gift card as configured in the backend.
• Customers can find all the gift cards in the My Gift Cards section.
• The admin can find all the gift card orders in a separate grid in the backend containing details such as Gift Card Code, Receiver Name & Email, Status, Balance, Used Amount, and Expiry Date.
• Once the gift card order is invoiced, it gets activated and can be used to pay for orders in the store.
• The admin can also find all the orders paid using gift cards in a separate grid in the backend.

How Does the Extension Work?

The admin needs to enable the gift card extension, enter the gift card pattern prefix & length, enter the gift code expiration period (in days), and the number of days before the expiration for sending reminder notifications. The admin needs to create a new gift card product from Products > Add Product > Gift Card. The admin needs to choose the email sender contact and choose the templates for different email notifications. They can enable the SMS notification functionality if required, integrate their preferred SMS API, and customize the SMS texts for different notifications.

Once the extension is configured from the backend, the customers can purchase gift cards in your Magento 2 store and send them to recipients through email & SMS. The gift code gets activated after the order is invoiced from the backend and the customers can conveniently use them during checkout to redeem the gift card. The admin can find all the orders with gift cards applied in a separate Applied Gift Card Orders grid in the backend.
