The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is issued to protect the data and privacy for individuals in the EU.   This rule also applies to ecommerce stores that have access to their customer's personal data.  The ecommerce stores are bound to allow their customers to control their own data by modifying or deleting.  The cookie policy and the privacy policy should be in line with GDPR.  To assist and comply Magento 2 stores with such GDPR related modifications, Meetanshi has developed GDPR for Magento 2!

The GDPR extension for Magento 2 allows the Admin to customize the privacy and cookie policies.  Moreover, it allows customers to handle their own personal data; which will win their trust!  GDPR implements the changes required and notifies the customers.

Make your store compliant with GDPR easily.  Enjoy the features that the module has to offer and earn your customer's trust by complying with GDPR.  It is benefit your business!

In the Account Deletion Settings, set the title for the delete section in 'My Account'.  Set the delete confirmation notice text as well as add information to show how the delete account works.  Select 'Email Sender' from the drop-down.  And, select an email template from the dropdown for the delete confirmation email.

In the Account Anonymization Settings, set the title for the anonymization section in 'My Account'.  Set the anonymization confirmation notice text.  Add information to show how the anonymization works. Select 'Email Sender' from the drop-down.  Also, select the email template from the dropdown for the anonymization confirmation Email.

In the Consent Request Mail Settings, select the Email Sender for the consent request email.  Also, select the email template for the same.

Configure the settings to display the privacy checkbox.  Enable the privacy checkbox to be displayed at the registration.  Set the privacy notice text.  From the dropdown menu, select where you want to show the privacy policy.  Also, select the page to show the privacy policy content.

To configure the cookie notice settings, select the notice display type.  Select the position from the dropdown.  Select the event to perform when the user closes the notice.  Enter the seconds to auto-hide the cookie notice.  Enter the seconds to auto-accept the cookies.  Enter the days to expire the cookie agreement.  Enable/disable to auto-accept the cookies on page scroll.

Select the notice type.  In the case of a custom message, enter the notice text to show in the frontend.  Add the container title.  Enter the text for the accept button.  Enter the text for the deny button.  Also, enter the text for the privacy policy button. Select the redirection page for privacy policy information.

Configure the container display settings such as font, family, text alignment, size and other settings.

Once done with the backend configuration, the cookie notice bar is displayed on the frontend for users to accept or deny cookie use by store.  The privacy policy checkbox is shown to customers on the Registration, Checkout and "My Account" pages.  Also, customers can download their personal data in a CSV format, anonymize and delete the account from their 'My Account' section.

All the approved and disapproved consents get stored in the backend in separate grids. Also, the Admin can see consent activity logs and deleted accounts by the customers.  The module enables the Admin to send emails for consent approval requests, account anonymization, and deletion confirmation.
