How Does The Extension Work?

GDPR for Magento 2 extension ensures that your online store satisfies GDPR standards and complies with its policies. The admin can enable and disable the extension from the backend.

The admin can select to enable the 'Privacy Policy' tab and show the privacy policy popup to the customers. The admin also allows logging their consents and can automatically clear log entries after a specific time duration.

GDPR for Magento 2 allows displaying privacy policy popups to the customers in the frontend.

The customers are allowed to download their personal, anonymize and delete their personal data. Also, the customers are allowed to opt out of the given content. The store admin can even download fields with filled values only and set an option to display information related to the data protection officer.

Furthermore, the module allows the admin to add section names and information related to the data protection officer and customers to download their personal data, anonymize it and delete the account. The admin can also show the data protection officer section to the customers, set an option to delete accounts of abandoned customers after a particular time duration, prevent data deletion with recent orders, specify the number of days to prevent data deletion, choose to prevent deletion of orders with specific statuses for a certain period of time.

The module prevents the admin to delete customers' accounts for selected order statuses, select the email sender, reply email, and the template for the anonymization acknowledgment email notifications to the customers. The extension allows the admin to send account anonymization email notifications to the customers.

The admin can notify managers about personal data deletion requests, and customers about the approval/rejection of the requests and configure the emails. Managers can easily manage all the requests from a seapared grid in the backend.

Also, the store admin can set an option to show "Cookie Policy Bar" in the frontend and choose to hide the bar if no action is taken. The admin can display the cookie notice display style from the drop-down menu, set the text for cookie notice for the popup bar and choose the colors for cookie notice.

Furthermore, the admin can even enter the text for accept/decline button and choose colors for the button, button hover, text, and text hover. The admin can allow displaying the cookie notice display style from various options.

The admin can manage, add and delete the cookies from the backend or perform mass action, set an option to enable the cookies and provide cookie name, provider, description, lifetime, cookie type, and cookie group. The admin can enable the specific cookie groups and set an option to make the cookie group mandatory for users. He can even enter the cookie group code, name, description, assign cookies and enter the sort order for the cookie group.

The customers can read the cookie name, provider, description, and other information in the frontend. The admin can manage, add and delete all the consent checkboxes from the backend. The admin can choose to hide the checkbox after the consent is taken and log the entries. He can choose locations, set priority, add checkbox text, consent link type, CMS page, and the countries to display the content checkbox.

The customers can register by accepting the policies on the registration page in the frontend. The admin can view and delete log entries about all the customers' consent. The admin can see all the cookie-related consents given by the customers in the backend.

The backend grid "Manage Consent Action Log Entries" lists all the approved/rejected account deletion requests, and the"Manage Privacy Policy Documents" grid allows the admin to manage, add and delete privacy documents.  The admin can add a comment, and version number, enable the status and add text for the privacy policy to display on the frontend.

Once configured, the privacy policy popup is shown to the visitors on the Magento 2 store, which helps taking cookie consents from the visitors, and complies the store with the GDPR law.
