To start using the extension, the store admin and the frontend users must have a separate WhatsApp account and WhatsApp enabled devices to contact and further communicate with each other. Both the admin and the users can download WhatsApp for FREE from Google Play Store or Apple App Store and it doesn't require any additional fees to be paid later.

 

How Does The Extension Work?

The admin enables the extension from the backend and chooses to show the contact button either in the desktop, mobile or both. He sets the default chat message to start communication when users click the contact button. The admin chooses one of the two types of contact buttons. He customizes the button to match with his store theme. There is an option to show the contact button for the specific date range. Also, he positions the contact button in a convenient place. The admin can also select one of the 16 animation effects for the contact button. He can also set to allow the users to close the contact button if they find annoying.

The extension facilitates to add multiple chat agents for the box button type from the backend. The admin can add the chat operator name, department name, mobile number, default chat message, photo and activate it. 

After the extension is configured, users can see WhatsApp Contact button in the frontend. If the contact button is of the box type, on click of it, they can see the available chat agents, choose to chat with one and get redirected to the WhatsApp to further chat with the agent regarding products or services. If the contact button is of the icon type, users can click and get redirected to chat with the admin.

  • The module facilitates the "Manage WhatsApp Chat Agents" backend grid that lists the added chat agents. The admin can use this grid to add new chat agents for the box button type with the "Add New" button.
  • Fill in the agents' details like name, department in which the agent belongs, mobile number, photo, default chat message and then activate the chat agent.
  • Choose one of the two contact button types to show in the frontend: Icon or Box.
  • Add information text to show in the frontend on box button type click.
  • The module is compatible with Whatsapp web, app, and the business app.
