Using Shop By Brand for Magento 2, the admin can easily create brands on the basis of the available product attributes and can create new brands as well by assigning new attributes. Admin can choose to manually assign products to the brands either by selecting each of the products or through mass action. The extension supports classifying the brands by categories and showing featured brands to the customers.

The Shop by brand widgets by this extension makes it easier for the admin to display a slider showing specific brands, category-wise brands, and featured brands on various CMS pages.   • The admin can enter custom short & long descriptions for the individual brand pages and select the CMS block.
  • The admin can also configure the meta information about each brand, including Meta Title, Meta Keywords, and Meta Description.
  • The 'Brand categories' grid at Catalog > Shop By Brand > Categories lists all the categories, where the admin can edit the existing categories or create a new one.
  • The admin can enter brand category information such as name, URL key, select the applicable store views, and enable or disable it.
  • The admin can also enter meta information for the category pages, which includes Meta Title,  Meta Keywords, and Meta Description. It also allows adding robots.txt files to the category pages.
  • The admin can select all the applicable brands for the category from the 'Brands' section.
  • The admin can find an option to choose the brand for the product in the product edit section.
  • The extension also adds three new widgets to the store, which can be used to show the brands by option ID, category ID, and featured brands on various CMS pages.
  • Once the extension is configured properly, the customers can easily find products from their favorite brands in your store, view brands by categories, and see the featured brands on the front-end.

 

How Does the Extension Work?

The admin can enable the extension from the backend, set the brand attribute, brand route, brand link title, and select the applicable store areas from Toplink, Footerlink, and Category to show the brand link. The admin can choose to show the brands in a Drop-down list or grid, specify details to be displayed, enter the maximum number of brands to show, and hide or show the brands without products in the category menu.

The admin can also choose to show the brand and display its information, such as name, logo, description, and set the logo dimensions for the product pages. The admin can also configure the 'All Brands Page' by entering the brand list name, selecting the page style, choosing information to display, setting logo width & height, setting the style color of the brand page, showing a short description, showing/hiding brands without products, showing/hiding product quantity, enabling brand quick view popup, and adding a custom CSS.

For the 'All brands' page, the admin can also enable the filter functionality and choose to filter the brands by categories and initials. The extension also supports adding a search block on the all brands page and supports setting the minimum number of required characters to show results, the number of maximum search results, and showing/hiding the brand thumbnail image in the search results. The admin can also show the featured brands on the brands page, choose the style from the slider view & simple view, enter the custom title for the featured brands, and select the brand information to be displayed on the featured brands. The extension also allows the admin to show related products of the same brand on the products page, enter a custom title, and a maximum number of brands to show.

Under the Brand Information section, the admin can customize the individual brand pages by adding a default image, selecting the default block, and showing/hiding the brand image, description, & static block on the brand page.

The admin can also add a brands sidebar displaying the featured brands, list, and category brands. Various settings about each of them such as title, the maximum quantity of brands/categories can also be configured. The admin can also add 'noindex' to the pagination pages and import brands from a CSV file.

The admin can manage all the brands under the 'manage options' of the attribute settings, where the admin can set the default brand, add new brands, or edit the existing ones. The admin can enter page titles for individual brands, set the URL key, upload an image logo, select if the brand is featured, enter a short description, long description, select CMS block, enter meta title, meta keywords, and meta description for the individual brands.

The 'Brand Categories' grid lists all the available brand categories, where the admin can add new or edit the existing ones. The admin can enter a name, URL key, select applicable store views, set the status, enter meta title, keywords, description, and select robots for the categories from here. The admin can select the applicable brands and select the applicable store views.

A drop-down option to select the brand of the product is added to the product edit section, where the admin can choose the applicable brand of the product. The Shop by Brands widget can also be used to show the brands by category & option ID, or the featured brands on specific CMS pages.

Once everything is configured properly, the customers can find the all brands page link in the category menu and can browse various brands on the website. Furthermore, the customer can also use the filter & search function, get a list of brands by categories, find related products, and much more as per the configuration set by the admin in the backend. The product page also displays the brand information and shows related products for cross-selling if it is enabled from the backend.
