How Does The Extension Work?
The admin can enable the module to allow charging shipping rates based on the product category. The admin can configure the title, shipping rate, shipping rate calculation, method name, option to enable or disable default product shipping cost, default rate per item, handling fee, allowed countries to enable shipping per category, option to enable or disable showing method only if applicable, error message for the unavailability of a shipping method, option to enable shipping per category for admin only, and minimum and maximum order amount to apply shipping per category
The admin can add the shipping rate for the category which will be charged for purchasing products from that category.
Once configured, the shipping rate charged is shown in the order summary on the cart page and checkout page.
The customer can check the shipping method details in the "My Account" section and the admin can check it in the order view section in the backend.
