How Does the Extension Work?

The Payeezy First Data Global Gateway E4 for Magento 2 extension makes it easy for the store owners to integrate the payment gateway by First data with their online store. From the Magento 2 backend, the admin can enable the extension, enter a custom title, and choose to show or hide the Payeezy logo on the checkout page. The admin can also enable the sandbox mode to test the payment gateway and integrate it with the store using the Hmac ID, Key ID, Gateway ID & password received during the registration.

The extension allows the admin to enter the global commodity code for the orders paid through Payeezy, select the supported credit card types, and select customers from only specific countries to use this payment method. The admin can also enable the debug mode, set custom instructions to be shown to the customers, and enter the sort order for the payment method. The admin can also find an option to enter product-wise commodity codes in the product edit section.

Once configured in the backend, the Payeezy payment gateway payment method is shown to the customers and allows them to complete their payment by entering their credit card details such as card number, expiry date, and CVV. After a successful transaction, the customer can find all the payment details of the orders paid through this payment gateway in the 'My Orders' section. The same is also reflected in the admin panel under the Sales > Orders > Order View section. The admin can also generate credit memos and initiate easy refunds for the orders paid using Payeezy payment gateway from the backend.

Merchants are required to be PCI Data Security Standard compliant before using the Payeezy First Data Global Gateway E4 direct payment method. Since merchants do not store or process customer payment information, they will be able to handle more customers. The customer data is entered in Magento 2 and hence, the integration of the payment gateway with the Magento 2 store meets the SAQ A-EP level of PCI compliance.
