Meetanshi's Opayo Direct Payment for Magento 2 makes it easy for the store owners to integrate Opayo Direct with Magento 2.

Opayo Direct is a non-hosted payment gateway. Therefore, it allows the customers to enter their card details and complete the payment without leaving the merchant's site, providing a seamless checkout experience. The payment information, such as card details, is sent to Opayo in an encrypted format, ensuring utmost payment security.

Credit card payment is one of the most popular payment methods for online shoppers. Customers find it convenient to pay online using credit cards, and the extension makes it easier for the Magento 2 store to accept credit card payments using Opayo Direct integration.

Account & Pricing

To commence using the Opayo Direct Payment extension, you need to create a FREE online account and enter the details in Magento 2 store configuration section for the API integration. The gateway offers three types of Pricing Plans to choose from; you can select as per your business requirements.

    • Authorize and Capture
    • Authorize Only
  • Set the default order status from 'Processing' and 'Suspected Fraud'.
  • The admin can apply the 3D secure, and AVS CVC Check using various options.
  • The admin can select all the accepted credit card types from the following:
    • American Express
    • Visa
    • MasterCard
    • Discover
    • Other
  • The admin can also limit the payment method to specific countries only.
  • Option to enable debug mode for the developers.
  • The admin can customize the instructions to be shown to the customers on the payment page.
  • The admin can set minimum and maximum order total to allow using the payment method.
  • Once the extension is configured, the customers can complete the payment on the checkout page by entering card details without leaving the merchant site.
  • The customers can find complete payment details of the orders paid through Opayo Direct in the 'My Orders' section.
  • The customers can also find the saved card details in the - 'Stored Payment Methods' section and re-use the saved card details for future orders.
  • The admin can find the payment details of the customers in the backend 'Order View' section.
  • The admin can also place an order from the backend using the credit card details.

 

How Does The Extension Work?

The admin can enable the extension from the backend, enter a custom title, enable the vault, enter the vault title, show or hide the Opayo logo, and enable or disable the sandbox mode.

The admin needs to enter the vendor name, integration key, and integration password received from the Opayo merchant account to connect it with the store. Set the default payment action, new order status, apply 3d secure, AVS CVC check, and select the allowed credit card payments. Select the applicable countries, enable or disable the debug mode, enter custom instructions, and set minimum & maximum order total for the payment gateway.

Once the extension is enabled and configured from the backend, the Opayo direct payment method is shown to the customers on the checkout page. The customer enters the credit card holder's name, card number, expiration date, and verification number on the payment page to place the order, and payment is completed as soon as the transaction is validated. The customer can also save the credit card details for future use by checking the 'Save for later use' option during the checkout.

 

Security and PCI Compliance:

Once the customers add products to the cart and proceed to pay using Opayo Direct Payment, they are asked to add card details on site and complete the payment. The customers' card details are stored on your website server using encryption to ensure secure payments. Merchants are required to be PCI Data Security Standard compliant before using the Opayo Direct payment method. The whole process uses tokenization to communicate card data with the payment gateway; it assures card data and payment security.
