How Does The Extension Work?

The admin needs to enable the extension, enter a custom title, choose to show or hide the logo, and enable the sandbox mode if required. The admin needs to enter the Store ID and Shared Secret Key to integrate the NatWest Tyl merchant account. The admin can also enable or disable the auto-invoicing feature, choose the payment page language, enter the Gateway URL, select the applicable countries, enter additional information, and sort orders of the payment method.

Once the extension is configured in the backed, the customers can find the Tyl by NatWest as one of the payment methods on the checkout page on the frontend. On choosing the NatWest Tyl, they will be redirected to a secure payment page hosted by the payment gateway provider, where they can complete the payment using multiple payment methods.

After a successful transaction, the customers are sent back to the Magento 2 store, and the order is placed. The customers can find complete details about the payment from the 'My Orders' section, while the admin users can also retrieve the same from the backend. The admins can also generate credit memos and issue refunds for the orders paid by this payment gateway from the backend.

 

Security and PCI Compliance:

Using the NatWest Tyl Payments hosted payment method, whenever customers add products to the cart and proceed to checkout, they get redirected to the hosted payment gateway page to enter payment details and complete the payment to place the order. The NatWest Tyl Payment Gateway hosts the payment process, and customers' card details are neither entered nor stored on the Magento 2 server, thus ensuring a secure payment process. The integration meets the SAQ A level of PCI compliance.
