To commence using FreeCharge Payment Gateway, you need to contact FreeCharge to create a merchant account. Integrate Magento 2 store with the payment gateway using the API key details received during the registration. Additional fees may apply. How Does The Extension Work?

The admin can enable the extension from the backend, set a custom title for the payment method, show or hide the FreeCharge logo on the frontend, enable sandbox for testing, and enter the Merchant ID & Merchant key to connect the FreeCharge merchant account. The admin can enable auto-invoice generation, limit customers from selected countries to use the payment method, and enter additional information to display on the checkout.

Once the extension is configured from the backend and the customers choose to checkout using the FreeCharge payment gateway, they are redirected to a hosted payment page, where they can choose their preferred method of payment and complete the transaction. The customers can check their FreeCharge payment details from their "My Account" section in the frontend. The admin can check customers' FreeCharge payment details from the backend sales order view. 

The admin can also process refunds of the payments made through the FreeCharge payment gateway from the backend.

Using FreeCharge hosted payment method, whenever customers add products to the cart and proceed to checkout, they get redirected to the hosted payment gateway page to enter payment details and complete the payment.
